Creating a Magical Kingdom for Your Guests
A Mom's Guide to Weather-Proofing Your Party Fun
Our Family's Weather Promise to You
Your child's safety is our #1 priority. Our team constantly monitors the weather forecast leading up to and during your event. We will always be in communication with you if any weather concerns arise and will work with you to make the safest decision for your family and guests.Wind - An Inflatable's Worst Enemy
Inflatables are like giant, colorful sails. While they are securely anchored, high winds are the one weather element we take most seriously.- Our Rule: For the safety of all adventurers, we must deflate all inflatables if winds reach or exceed 15-20 MPH.
- What Your Responsibility is: If you feel the winds picking up, the first step is to get all the children safely exiting the inflatable. After all kids are off the inflatable, power down the blower on the back to allow the unit to deflate safely.
When to Resume the Adventure: A Guide to Staying Vigilant
After the winds have calmed, it's natural to want to start again. However, safety requires continued vigilance. Weather can be unpredictable, and the lull in the wind can sometimes be fullowed by a sudden, strong gust. Before restarting the blower, the designed attendant/volunteers, acting as the "lifeguard" for the inflatables, but be fully awre and prepared. It's their responsibility to keep an eye on the sky and surrounding tress for any signs of returning wind. If conditions are clean and calm for the sustained period, you can reinflate the unit. However, everyone must be ready to act fast and evacuate the inflatable again if the wind suddenly picks up. This readiness to expect the unexpected is the most important part of ensuring a safe and fun-filled day.
For Ultimate Peace of Mind: Add a Professional Party Attendant
We know that hosting a party means juggling a hundered different things. - Manage the safe entry and exit of all children
- Enforce all the safety rules in a fun and friendly way
- Monitor weather conditions and safely manage the inflatable
- It's the perfect way to ensure a completely stress-free day for you and the safest possible environment for your little advventures.
Lightning & Thunder: When to Take a Break
A little rain won't stop the fun, but lightning is a non-negotiale pause in the adventure. We follow the nationally recognized 30/30 Rule for lightening safety.
The 30-Second Rule: If you see lightning and can count less than 30 seconds before you hear the thunder, the storm is close enough to be a risk. It's time to have everyone exit the inflatable and head to a designated safe shelter.
The 30-Minute Rule: The party doesn't have to end! We can resume the fun once 30 minutes have passed since the last sound of thunder is heard.
Magic Mom Tip: Before your party, designate a "safe space" for guests to go in case of a sudden storm. This could be your garage, covered patio, or indoor room. Letting guests know the plan ahead of time makes everything run smoothly if you need to take a quick weather break.
The Golden Rule of Party Safety
Whether it's wind, rain, or a surprise visit from too many bumblebees, the most important rule is simple. When in doubt, get the kids out. A quick break from the bounce house is always the right call if you have any safety concerns.
